ID Drive Kick-Off Meeting August 24, 2019

We had 25 councils represented at the Kickoff on Saturday, Aug. 24th at St. Joseph’s in Placentia.  Our speakers included Frank Murphy from Catholic Charities of Orange County, Mary Jasinski one of the campers and her Mom, Patty, Fiona Waldron, a camp counselor and student at Matre Dei High school, Kyle and Brendan O’Shea from St. Martin De Porres Council, Kyle participates in the “My Day Counts Program.  The CEO of My Day Counts, Mike Galliano interviewed Kyle on how the program has helped.  Jody Martin led the way for pulpit presentations, Dr. Ray Warriner PSD spoke on behalf of the Columbian Foundation supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities, and Jim Larson gave a short presentation on California’s “Feed the Athletes” program.
